Hydropower equipment manufacturers

ALSTOM (formerly Tidal Generation ltd.) – Alstom has been present in the ocean energy market since 2009. In 2013 it completed the acquisition of Bristol-based Tidal Generation Ltd (TGL), which was established in 2005.
TGL developed a 500 kW tidal stream turbine – Deepgen – which was successfully deployed and connected to the grid at EMEC’s tidal test site at the Fall of Warness in Eday in September 2010. In March 2012, TGL announced that the device had generated over 200MWh into the national grid since installing their device on site.

PIDE – PIDE SRL is a company specialized in the design, production, installation, management and maintenance of hydroelectric power plants, gas distribution systems and integrated water systems. Founded in the ’80s, it established itself as an engineering company involved in management, consultancy services and streamlining of integrated water services and gas distribution networks

Global Hydro Energy – A young, dynamic enterprise, which operates worldwide in the field of hydropower technology. It is based in Austria.

GUGLER – GUGLER Water Turbines is a global supplier of Kaplan-, Francis- and Pelton turbines as well as the complete electromechanical equipment required for the implementation of small hydropower plants on a turn-key basis.

TOSHIBA – The first manufacturer of hydroelectric generating equipment in Japan. TOSHIBA is a leading exporter and has supplied much equipment to North America, Central and South America, Africa, Oceania, Asia and Eastern Europe. SHZ – Shaoyang Hengyuan Zijiang Hydroelectric Equipment Co., Ltd. Hunan (SHZ) was founded in 1969, is certified as one of the noted professional manufacturers of small & medium-sized hydroelectric equipment in China. It is a member unit of Hydroelectric Equipment Branch of China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association (CEEIA).

Chongqing Bochi – Since the early 1950s, Chongqing Bochi Machinery Group started as a small manufacturer for hydropower equipment.
