Solar oil painting – the big one

The world’s largest Concentrated solar power-plant with a capacity of providing electricity from renewable energy to 20 thousand homes, saving 175,000 tons of carbon dioxide every year, and cost of over half a billion USD was officially opened in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi is the wealthiest of the seven sheikhdoms that make up the federation of the United Arab Emirates and now they started to explore uncompromisingly the assets of the solar system lowering dependence on the underground capital. By concentrating heat from direct sunlight, the joint venture Shams1 project, produces steam, which drives a turbine and generates electricity.
This step is of great value as the renewable energy system was developed in a region with unique solar potential that could be easily neglected as the sheikhdom is extremely oil-rich.
It’s time to look up for the power that is far beyond our dreams.
