Where the wind may blow us
Renewable energy is what we think today when speaking of wind power, but just few hundred years ago this mighty invisible force was used for discovering new worlds. The World’s economy, as we know it today, was formed by ship’s sails and human curiosity.
The beauty of Natural Energy
The cherry blossom holds much symbolism within Japan. According to the Buddhist tradition, the breathtaking but brief beauty of the blossoms symbolizes the temporary nature of life. Nothing lasts forever but if equilibrium is set, life will renew itself, more beautiful and filled with energy.
Japan added more than thousand megawatts of power from renewable energy sources in nine months, as the islands set limits to reliance on nuclear power.
Time and energy – dust in the wind
Time – a dimension, measuring past, present and future, a dimension that determines our existence, firmly connected with all of our countable wealth and heart of all our emotions as it separates them, is something that is not so often put as an argument in energy disputes. Analysts, manufacturers, decision makers, governments are talking mostly about money and funds but not time. There is a lovely quote from Kansas’ song that comes to mind when thinking about this:

When wind energy was used as a main power to explore the world, there was a guiding light to those who sailed across the oceans – the Northern star; never changing position and showing the right direction. Now we have enough technology to find a pin in the desert and that’s why we’ve probably have lost our connection with the guiding light of the stars.
Today, there is a reason to look to the north. Not above but amongst us.
